Central European Olympiads in Informatics (CEOI)
Central European Olympiads in Informatics (CEOI) is an annual
competition in Informatics organized since 1994. This Olympiad is oragnized
according to the pattern of International Olympiads in Informatics (IOI).
Hungary, Germany, Poland, The Chech Republic, Croatia, Romania,
Slovakia, Slovenia are the member countries of CEOI.

Lithuania was invited to CEOI as a guest country in 1995 to Hungary and
in 1997 to Poland. Both times particpants from Lithuania were awarded medals.
Vaidas Gasiūnas and Tomas Laurinavičius in 1995 won brnze medals, while
Marius Gedminas, Arūnas Miliūnas and Remigijus Staniulis were awarded bronze medals in CEOI'97.

The organizers of Central European Olympiads have been organizing
CEOI on-line since 1998. Students from Lithuania participate each time.
The results of Marius Gedminas in 1998 corresponded to the Gold medal.
